The Sun Always Shines On TV

Die im Januar 1986 veröffentlichte zweite weltweite Single von A-ha ist die einzige Single, die jemals Platz eins der Charts in Großbritannien besetzte und das sogar zwei Wochen hintereinander. Außerdem erreichte sie in sieben anderen Ländern die Top 10. Die Single bietet aber noch eine Besonderheit: Die bisher letzte von A-ha veröffentlichte (und auf keinem Studio-Album enthaltene) B-Single "Driftwood" ist auf ihr enthalten. Dieser Song wurde von Mags und Pål komponiert und von A-ha produziert. Die 12'' Version enthielt als Beigabe eine Extended Version (auch bekannt unter Steve Thompson Mix) sowie eine Instrumental Version von "The Sun Always Shines On TV". Die auf der Single enthaltene Version des Songs ist übrigens eine im Vergleich zum Album verkürzte. Zum Abschluss noch eine weitere Besonderheit des Songs: Bei ihrem Auftritt beim Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo am 11. Dezember 1998 spielten sie neben ihrem neuen Song "Summer Moved On" auch ein Remix von "The Sun Always Shines On TV".
