Crying In The Rain

Die erste Single von "East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon" wurde im September 1990 veröffentlicht und war wie das Album nicht mehr typisch für die "80er A-ha's". Es ist ihr erstes und bisher einziges gecovertes Lied (von den Everly Brothers, die den Song ihrerseits 1966 veröffentlichten). Diese schafften 24 Jahre vorher allerdings "nur" Platz acht der norwegischen Charts, wohingegen A-ha mit ihrer Version sieben Wochen lang an der Spitze lagen. Weil wir gerade bei den Charts sind: Dem "gar nicht so erfolgreichen" 13. Platz in Großbritannien stand ein sehr guter zweiter Platz bei dem MTV-Charts entgegen. Auf der Single enthalten war außerdem noch der Song "(Seemingly) Nonstop July". Die 12'' Version sowie die CD-Single hatten darüber hinaus noch "Cry Wolf" zu bieten. Alle Lieder, egal auf welchem Format sie sich auch befinden, liegen in der Album Version vor.
